Hello people,

My name is Wong Songhan. I come from Penang, Malaysia, a wonderful city island often embraced by people for its famous street foods and good living environment. After having visited many places around the world, I still think Penang is the best place to stay in Malaysia. I’m currently studying Physics at National University of Singapore and staying at Kent Ridge Hall. Coming to Kent Ridge Hall has allowed me to experience many different new things in my life and i’ve made some really good friends over here.

I have a lovely family. My mum is an excellent physics teacher and wonderful mum. She can do almost everything except turning on the TV. She shaped who i am today. I’m a sandwich, before me there is my elder sister, who is a very independent and decisive person. She takes very good care of me and my younger sister. My younger sister is energetic and cheerful, my family will feel very quiet without her presence. She’s also a troublemaker at the same time, my mum worries about her the most.

I have a keen interest in photography, graphic design, physics,food and travel. I currently own a D90 ( 17-50 mm Tamron f 2.8, 18-200 Nikon vr f 3.5-5.6, 85 mm Nikon f 1.8, 70-200 mm f2.8, 50 mm Nikon f 1.8 and a SB 900 ). Photoshop is the only software i know for graphic design, i picked up the skill myself couple of years ago back in high school. It is always very rewarding to enjoy looking at your own visual artwork. Physics, is the most beautiful and fundementally crafted science. It is never boring and i encourage everyone to learn as much physics as possible. Studying physics has trained my analytical thinking. Richard Feynman once said, ” I cannot understand what i cannot create ” . This quote follows my life closely and i often try to recreate the items that i learnt so that i can remember them. I use MatLab and \LaTeX, and C program languange.

I am quiet but friendly, patient and easy.
